RefreshYourMac identifies what can safely be removed from your Mac. Delete it yourself, or schedule a clean daily — or whenever your free space drops below a level you set.
All of the measuring is free, before you pay for anything. And it shows you the receipt before it deletes anything.

Set a time and RefreshYourMac cleans the safe categories on its own — caches, logs and build data that come back by themselves. Add a floor for free space and it will also run whenever your Mac drops below it.
- Only Safe to Remove. Never your files, never anything needing your password, and never the Trash — that is the undo for everything else.
- You choose the categories. Any of them can be dropped from the scheduled run while staying one click away by hand.

RefreshYourMac lives in the menu bar. Its icon turns orange as the disk fills and red when it is nearly gone, so you find out before a build fails rather than after.

The Dock icon appears only while that window is open, unless you ask it to stay.
What it found on one real Mac
No web page can measure your disk, and a cleaner that shows you a figure before you have installed anything is guessing at it. So here is a real one instead, measured on the machine the app was built on.
Caches, logs, the Trash, Xcode and the simulators — fourteen of the forty-four places the app looks, with none of the duplicates, the leftovers from apps you uninstalled, or the pictures saved twice. Your Mac holds a different number, and the app measures all forty-four of them before it claims anything.

The rating is what cleaning costs you, not how much it frees. It decides what the buttons are even allowed to do — a Move to Backup category has no bulk clean, whatever you click, and a Protected one has no delete at all.
